Good Morning Vietnam

Image
It’s only been 3 days but I’m already impressed by the people, the food and the way traffic just flows here in Ho Chi Minh City!   The People’s Palace Some beef dish…so good! After 2 flights (16 hours to Taipei, Taiwan then 3 hours to Ho Chi Minh) we arrived to another world. The 11 hour difference was an easier adjustment then I expected but the adrenaline helped us get through the first day. Still can’t believe I’m here!!! Saigon Special Cheers! We made it! Walking Street- Those are all restaurants and cafes.  The airport was easy to navigate and we bought a SIM card with unlimited wifi for $15US to keep us connect with people back home. Asia Tours had our driver ready and he gave us some great tips and ideas on how to spend our afternoon.  Our hotel was located in District 1, which is the heart of the city and we were able to walk around and see the Saigon Riverfront, local areas of interest and the famous Ben Thanh Market.  After a delayed flight my cousins Sandra and Carlos arrive

On The Road Again

Packed up and made our way home last week, with a few little stops along the way to help ease the drive home and also begin acclimatizing to the weather.  Dublin Donuts For The Win Our first pitstop was St. Augustine, which claims to be the oldest US city and a mere 4-hour drive from Delray. I guess Florida was 😔 sad to see us go because it rained throughout most of our visit. We decided to take the Old Town Trolley much to Rob’s relief instead of walking. The tour highlighted some of the historical significance and made a stop right near a Key Lime Pie shop.  Beautiful Architecture  Love me some Key Lime Pie Heading out of St. Augustine we happened to find another Bucc-ee’s, so we stopped to grab some pulled pork and Brisket sandwiches to fill our bellies for the next leg.  Okay, it's really good for truck stop food! Trust me! If you see one...you must stop! Our second stop was Savannah, Georgia and the weather was perfect for us to stretch our legs for a couple of hours and take

The Snowflakes Have Left The Sunshine State

Can’t believe today is our last day in Florida. We have been filling the last four months with lifelong memories both here and on our getaways. Living the life of a snowflake (not quite snowbirds… yet) has even been better than we ever imagined. Our last week in standard Cinapri form has been packed with excitement. Why rest when there is always something to do! Our Favourite, Gulf Stream Beach We started the week off with aunt and my cousins, who are down for a visit on Friday night so we decided to do a little bar hopping on the Delray strip and plan to end up there tonight for some St Patrick’s Day celebrations.  Johnnie Brown’s Never Disappoints      Park Tavern Cocktails  Last Saturday was a full day of celebrations. In one day we managed to attend a Parade, welcome the Panchmatia family to our condo and head to Miami to celebrate the wedding of our friends, Javier and Vera. Told you the Cinapri’s get lots done in a day! We had the pleasure of attending the very popular, St. Patri
