Roaming Around Rome

Ciao Tutti! Roaming around Rome has been an amazing experience. Luckily, we have been here before and other than a quick visit to Trevi Fountain we have been enjoying the outer edges of Rome and avoiding the tourist areas. We helped Matteo move into a university area in Rome called San Lorenzo which is about a 35 minute walk from the Colosseum. He is all ready for his experience at Luiss! Trastevere where Antonella lives (Rob's stepmom) is a hidden gem just outside of Rome with an amazing vibe. The streets are filled with locals and the cuisine is fantastico. It's been a lot of Pasta, Pizza and Vino but Rob has yet to buy me a gelato! We also made a stop in Ostia, one of our favourite beach town outside of Rome and devoured Bomba (Italian style donuts). It's been so nice to visit with family and friends who have gone out of their way to spend time with us and help us get Matteo settled. Rob is still working on his stamina, according to him, he is not eating and drinking as much as he would like but I have faith he will get there! Next Stop Puglia!
