“What a wonderful thought it is that some of the best days of our lives haven't even happened yet.” —Anne Frank

Well, this has been quite a year! A year to be thankful, a year to be grateful and definitely filled with memories. It began a little unexpected, but proved to be one of the best years of learning and growth not only for me, but for my family as well. We’ve laughed, we’ve cried, and we’ve learned to take nothing for granted. Many of our experiences this year would never been possible without having an open mind, trusting in God and believing that anything is possible. As with the beginning of each new year, one always thinks what’s going to happen? With all the uncertainties of the last couple of years, although we had planned for many things, we were not sure how it was all going to turn out.    As usual everything always happens for a reason and things have turned out just as they were suppose to…but better! This last week of 2022 has brought even more hope, love and appreciation for how blessed we are. Our Christmas Cruise turned out to be one of our best Christmases yet. Spending i

Merry Christmas to all our family and friends near and far...this year our travels are taking us to the sea to celebrate Christmas. Just packing up the last few things this morning as we head to the cruise ship port in Fort Lauderdale and hope the cooler weather heading to Florida doesn't quite make it to the Caribbean.  As we spent some time just relaxing with Simone this week, we took a little road trip down to the Keys and headed to Key Largo for a couple of nights. Key Largo is the first of the fabulous Florida Keys and the self proclaimed “Dive Capital of the World” because of the living coral reef a few miles offshore. Rob loves to SCUBA dive, and it was a great opportunity for him to experience some of the best diving here in Florida. While he did his thing Simone and I checked out some local shops, enjoyed amazing Cuban coffee and empanadas.  We also visited the John Pennekamp Coral Reef Park an underwater marine park located in the mangroves. It was full of natural beauty

I took a break from the blog to meet up with friends and family during this busy time of year. Can't believe how much has happened in the last 10 days! Going home was great but exhausting. I'm not used to socializing so much anymore! Lol Since we was only going to be home for 7 days many friends had booked us in ahead of time to make sure we got together which was great. So we has the week planned even before we arrived. The main events were our family Christmas parties which allowed us to many people in one place. The Cappuccitti Christmas that took place, now has to be hosted in a hall because we've gotten too big. The kids outnumber the adults and we need to have space to keep them busy. The best part is there is no mess to clean up at the end and we can truly enjoy and be present with each other. It was so nice to catch up and see all the cousins. I don't come from a large family so this is a true blessing for me to be a part of a family with so many cousins around

An Adventure a Day Keeps the Doctor Away

As we wait to board our flight back home and bracing ourselves for the temperatures in Mississauga, I’m thinking phew. We survived without any major issues (my mother-in-law only locked herself out on the veranda but we rescued her 30 mins later), we didn’t lose anyone and I think the folks had some fun along the way. Delray is busting out the Christmas decor and it’s looking super festive.  I have to say it doesn’t bother me one bit to see Christmas with no snow or cold weather. Delray always puts up a large tree in the center square and we are always in awe of its size every year. We also took a little road trip on Saturday to West Palm Beach to see their sand Christmas Tree and local outdoor market. I think their favourite night was last night. It started out with Martinis, pasta, pizza and vino at Elizabetta’s on the strip. The night continued further down the strip where we took them to the local bar Johnny Brown’s, it was Karaoke night with a live band. It was a blast, the talen

Pickleball is Cheaper Than Therapy

Happy Friday…How is it December already??? New days in Delray Beach bring on new adventures and opportunities to try new things.  I had been thinking of taking some tennis lesson while I was down here but with caring for the folks it didn't fit into the plans. For the past few years we have been hearing about this popular game call Pickleball which is  a mash-up of tennis, badminton, and ping pong. Rob and I decided to watch a couple of videos (lunch and learns), order a pickleball set and give it a try.  Luckily we have courts right next to the pool and this way the parents can hang by the pool while we give this game a shot. Being highly competitive, it's definitely the game for me and I get a great workout in too!   I'm told that pickleball is a wonderful alternative for older players who may have physical limitations. Now that Rob is 50 we need to find activities that are more appropriate for him and avoid him getting hurt. 😂😂 After just a few days we are starting to
